Sunday School classes are offered on Sunday morning for preschool through Grade 8.   Children attend the worship service with their families and then leave for their classes following the Children's Message.  Nursery care for infants is also provided.

We use the David C. Cook curriculum which helps children relate Bible stories to their everyday experiences with friends, family and school.  The goal is to offer them the teachings of Christ so they can grow in their faith and make healthy decisions.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES for 8th Graders are also offered each year beginning in late January.  The classes focus on basic Christian beliefs, the Old and New Testaments, church history as well as the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.  Youth who complete the Confirmation Class are then invited to join the church on Pentecost Sunday.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY is offered on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m.  The classes offer an opportunity to grow in your faith and make new friends at the same time.

The Heifer Project Milk Can is used to collect coins during Lent.  The special fund raiser is sponsored by the Sunday School.  Our thanks to artist Pam Gesualdo (on the left) for painting and decorating the Heifer Project Milk Can.

HEIFER PROJECT
Each spring the children also raise money to buy a cow or other livestock for a needy family through Heifer Project International.  The children do that by filling special banks that they receive.  There's also the very popular Birthday Bash for Heifer.  During coffee hour Fellowship Hall is decorated with 12 birthday cakes.  People buy slices of the birthday cakes.  A penny for each year of their age or a dollar if you don't want to reveal your age.  All the proceeds go to Heifer.  The link to the right will provide you with more information on the wonderful ministry that is being done around the world through HPI.

ADVENT WORKSHOP
Each year the young and those who are young at heart look forward  to the church's ADVENT WORKSHOP.  It marks the beginning of the Advent season as we come together after the morning worship service to make Christmas decorations and crafts.  This year  Advent Workshop will be on November 28 and the theme will be Gingerbread!

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
Our traditional Christmas Pageant is celebrated during the worship service on the Sunday before Christmas.  It's an opportunity for the children of the church to lead us in a re-enactment of Christ's birth.  Rehearsals for the pageant begin in November.  Children who would like to be a part of the pageant should speak to our Christian Education Director Mrs. Putney.
