Nancy Parsons displays some
of her hot cross buns. For the past 9 years she has been baking a wide variety
of home made breads for the luncheons.
The two head chefs, Nancy
and Rev. Rick, pose before the arrive of the Good Friday crowd.
Sally, Kay, Debbie and Alice
prepare the strawberry shortcakes for dessert. This year over 20 people helped
out with the Lenten Luncheons at various times and in various ways…a big thank you to them all.
Dick Amsterdam is another
helper who has been there with us right from that first Friday luncheon 9 years ago when we served 21 people. This year we averaged 101 people served every Friday.
And those hungry customers
consumed a total of 159 gallons of lobster bisque. That kept the pastor busy
in the kitchen.

The Good Friday Luncheon
ended with a drawing to a free pass for next year’s luncheons. There were
two winners. Here Rev. Hughes makes sure that the drawing is on the up and up.
The first excited winner
was Charlene Malek.
And the other lucky winner
was Debbie Osgood.
