Our Summer Sunday School ended on August 28 with a Jonah and the Whale Watch.  Following the morning service adults and children went to Gloucester for a four hour whale watch that included some spectacular breaching by a whale named colt.

Summer Sunday School began with a visit from Jason of Curious Creatures in Groveland.  After learning about Adam and Eve and the serpent in the Garden of Eden, Jason introduced them to a 7 foot long yellow python along with a few other exotic creatures.

Many years after he got his coat of many colors Joseph found himself in prison in Egypt.  He got out when he interpreted Pharoah's dream.  In the dream the Pharoah saw seven fat cows, followed by 7 lean cows.  Joseph warned the Pharoah that there would be seven years of plenty followed by 7 years of famine.  This cow joined us to help the children remember this important story from the Book of Genesis.

On the next to last week of Summer Sunday School the children heard again how Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of a colt on Palm Sunday.  Marilyn Elliott of Magick Farm in Salem, NH and a member of the church joined us with her pony.
